Mealtimes
are seen as an important social time within
the nursery. Children are encouraged to develop
independence and social skills by choosing,
selecting, pouring, cutting and serving for
themselves and others. Menus are rotated regularly
and take into account the nutritional needs
of young children.

The
children are seated in small groups, with an adult
present to encourage and support them. Younger
children who need assistance in cutting will always
be presented with the complete meal before it
is cut. Once children have reached the age of
two, they will be encouraged to help set tables,
and serve themselves and others. |

Expressed
breast milk can also be stored and given. Organic
milk is provided for all children, once they have
progressed onto cows milk. Children also have
unlimited access to spring water dispensers.
The
cost of all food, drink and formula milk is included
in the fees, as are all nappies and toiletries.
