The
Aim of Puffins
'Puffins
of Exeter aim to Enhance the care and education
of children in their early years through the provision
of quality childcare places. We are committed
to the continuing professional development of
our staff, and the involvement of parents in their
children's learning' |
|
 |
|
| |
| It
is our philosophy that quality in day care can
only be achieved through the provision of caring
personal relationships between children in their
early years and practitioners.
At
Puffins of Exeter we do this through the provision
of our keyworker system, which enables individual
practitioners to link with individual children
and their families. Providing a secure environment
with familiar consistent adults is essential in
order to meet children's needs.
Further
information about the curriculum and each nursery's
most recent OFSTED report, can be found at www.OFSTED.gov.uk.
Each nursery is registered to offer educational
grant funding for three and four year olds. There
are well equipped outdoor play areas which are
fully enclosed and secure. Security is of the
utmost importance and all nurseries are provided
with coded security locks. |

The
view of the partners has always been that of
"hands-on" management and that there
should be strong support systems for nursery
officers and staff, to allow them to concentrate
on providing quality care and education.
Puffins
of Exeter have also been successfully re-recognised
by Investors in People three times and has signed
up to the early years NTO code of practice
